April 4, 2007 - Melbourne, FL
The Wood Cellar has launched its Arbor Creek brand for nationwide availability. This collection of upscale wood flooring was previously only offered in locations throughout Calif. The Arbor Creek collection will also unveil its latest addition, Arbor Creek Plank, at the 2007 NWFA Education Conference and Expo held April 10-13 in Denver, Colo. at The Wood Cellar’s booth, number 961.
Arbor Creek Plank is beautifully engineered wood flooring, distinguished by the thickness of its veneer that matches the thickness of the wear surface on solid wood flooring. The Wood Cellar saws its own veneers 5 mm thick from American hardwoods and joins them to the finest substrate available, European Baltic Birch. Arbor Creek Plank is available pre-sanded and unfinished, pre-finished with UV urethane anti-scratch finish or Danish “Trip Trap” oil factory applied finish. The Plank collection comes 5/8” thick and is offered in lengths from 2’-7’ with a variety of width options.
“We have seen a huge demand for the Arbor Creek brand and are thrilled to not only be able to launch this brand nationwide but also expand our offerings in the Arbor Creek collection, by introducing Arbor Creek Plank,” said Stephen Perkins, The Wood Cellar president.
The Arbor Creek brand features two additional signature lines, Classica and Exotica. The flooring is characterized by its smooth texture and features optionally thick sawn veneers that create extremely stable engineered floors. The Classica line focuses on classic American species, while Exotica showcases a full-line of exotic wood species.
Classica is an American tradition collection that is built upon classic American woods including Black Walnut, Hickory Pecan, Hard Maple, Pennsylvania Cherry, Appalachian White Oak and Heart Pine. The Classica line is produced in aesthetic Character Grades and Select Grades. The Classica line is produced in either thin profile solids, such as 3/8” or 1/2”, or produced engineered in well-balanced 3-ply construction or with Baltic Birch substrate.
The Exotica line offers engineered flooring that combines the beauty of exotic wood flooring with the precision of milling, and features South American and Asian accents. It is produced solely in solid engineered construction in an aesthetic Select and Better Grade for such woods as Santos Mahogany, Brazilian Cherry, Teak, Kempas, and Brazilian Walnut. The Wood Cellar also recently added another exotic specie, Patagonian Rosewood (Curapay), to the Exotica line. The Exotica line is produced in a 1/2" engineered or a 5/8” Plank version (with 5mm wear layer) with the Baltic Birch substrate.
The Wood Cellar will have samples on display of its wood flooring collections, including Arbor Creek and Relica, at the NWFA conference.
